Friday Frustrations
Well, well, well. My how time has FLOWN. It seems just like yesterday I was posting the inaugural Friday Frustration, and lo and behold, it is already Friday again. So I guess it is time to hit you with a few frustrations, so that we can all release and the weekend can be fully enjoyed. So this week things that have been grinding my gears:
•
My puppy!! Ok, secretly I love this creature to death, but lawd have mercy he is a handful and a half and a reminder of why I still have no kids. So he’s only 4 months old, and this Saturday was the first time I had met him since I’m in D.C. most of the year. Well he’s definitely taken a liking to me, which is cool, ‘cause I like him too. However, he keeps testing me, and sooner than later we are going to fight. I guess neither my little brother nor I work up fast enough for him this morning, so when I do roll out of bed, any and everything he could get his paws on he did. I guess he wanted to start his own blog so he took EVERY pen in the house and chewed them up in a nice big pile of plastic and ink. He took one of my mom’s potted plants and practiced his gardening skills in the middle of the living room. Then, he took one of my little brothers old Pokémon stuffed toys, and chewed all the stuffing out of it. So I’m trying to clean it up and as fast as I could put stuff in the trash, he was running right behind me taking it back out. Then he decided that my swept up pile of trash was too pretty for him to not go play in and throw crap all over the place. Boss, in short I am frustrated with you!!
• I got a little spoiled living in D.C. with my car being parked in Houston. Well until I got to Houston, did a little bit of driving and realized that it now takes over $60 bucks to fill up my freaking Nissan Maxima….wtf mate!!?!?!
• This may sound a little crass, but I’m frustrated with bums. I’m a student, chances are you are panhandling more money in a year than I am making currently. I had a guy ask me before and after leaving the Red Cat Jazz Café (Great Jazz club if you are ever in Houston) if I could help him out. Now I really would love to help if I could, but with the sheer amount of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that I ate this year...yeah so NO, move around. Go get your life together, there are plenty of programs aimed at helping you get on your feet. I often wonder though, what in the world has to happen to a person that results in them just giving up on everything and being homeless. I don’t get it, but maybe I’m not supposed to get it.
• Eight months of self imposed celibacy. ‘Nuff said.
What frustrated you this week?

Rizzle, if you want to hear some GREAT live music, you need to go check out Libra Lounge/Culinary Kreations tonight . . . hit me up and I'll give you the details.
As for rants:
-Geez, I am so sleepy. Those 2 tylenol PM's did a job on my body!
-I really want to get up at 5am tomorrow morning to go run on memorial with my running club, BUT . . . need I repeat that time again? 5 IN THE FREAKIN' AM!!!
-I hate the fact that the weekend is only going to be 2 days long!!
-I CANNOT wait until they finish fixing up ragedy arse Kirby Drive! Especially the part that stretches between University and 59! UGH!
This isn't a rant, BUT for those of you who went to college in the Austin area, and are familiar with the Eskimo Hut, good news! I discovered lastweek that there is one here in the H (in alief). There is also a similar place off 45N and Little York (Acres Home). I hope that piece of info brightens someone's weekend. :)
1. Let me tell you that puppy is too cute. But yeah when I was around 13 I had a puppy for about 3 days and then I gave it away too much work. I guess thats why I dont have kids as well.
2. Gas is high as hell and my gas guzzling SUV needs to go. but its paid for so i guess its "cheaper to keep her"
oh and celibacy sucks especially when its self imposed but I actually feel better. less emotions tied into a fwb that knows and has told you that you have "girlfriend potential" but hasnt made a move.. PMO
have a good day folks .. more of my rants are of course located on our blog
FYI: i really like this blog...
Yesterday, I tried to give a "hungry" man a strawberry Kellog's Nutrigrain bar. He refused. Maybe he is allergic???
*sounds like your puppy, as cute as he is, needs that strap! they say don't spank puppies/dogs because "they don't have the same understanding as humans," but dammit if i'm cleaning up and you jump in my pile, i'm going to swat at you and then put you in your kennel. i felt bad for spanking my puppy because he was only 2 lbs. but he ate my last piece of cake WHILE i was in the bathroom. greedy bastid.
*i know none of you southerners understand this, but the lake effect makes boating and all things nautical a wee bit too chilly for me. highs are barely supposed to reach upper 70s this weekend at the lake. GRRRRRR! (yes I am black, and yes I go boating. lol)
*gas prices. our gas card bill was $600 this month. we drive a toyota corolla and a ford ranger. WWWHHHHAAATTTT IIIINNNNN TTHHHEEE BBBBLLLLUUEEEE HEEEEELLLLLL?!?! i'm seriously considering sifting through my parents garage so i can ride my old school huffy bike around. Or catch me in one of those "dangerous" smart cars.
*i read an article that said that the places/bars around the arena where the beijing olympics are being held are not allowed to service customers of color. now, i don't know how true this is but if it is........I'M BOOKING MY TRIP TO BEIJING AS SOON AS THIS ARTICLE IS VERIFIED! However, if I am wrong someone PLEASE explain/debunk.
and i'm done.
Yep! Rolling on seven months of SELF IMPOSED celibacy but from story I got from my good guy friend (previous screw partner) about what he has been doing behind his girlfriend's back, celibacy is a FABULOUS option!
This is the first time I am reading your blog and I'm really motivated to start my own. Anyway, something that really frustrates me is how people always want "something" for nothing. Young people we need to work to make a dollar. Although this may sound cliche, the statement still stands that anything worth having is worth working hard for. Oh and John McCain's ignorant comments about Barack Obama's popularity frustrates me. Get a grip old man!
